Marj Al Hamam intersection project 74 per cent complete — Public Works minister

Marj Al Hamam intersection project is 74 per cent complete, Minister of Public Works and Housing Yahya Kisbi said on Tuesday, expecting construction works to finish during the first-third of 2021. 

During his visit to the site, the minister highlighted the importance of the project in addressing the traffic jams, stressing the need of taking all traffic safety measures throughout the tenure of the project, Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.  

Funded by the Saudi Fund for Development, at an estimated cost of JD20 million,  Marj Al Hamam intersection with the Amman-Dead Sea Road, includes the construction of a three-level intersection consisting of a 240-metre concrete bridge and a 110-metre tunnel with four lanes in each direction.
